I think we need some RPs here. I'll start off the plot:
Rainpelt shuffled into the Mooncave. Her heart pounded with anxiety as she disappeared into the cold darkness. She felt her way through the tunnel. Soon she came into a large cave. A small stream ran through the middle of it, the light from the stars shone down on it. Rainpelt sat down beside the water, and wrapped her tail around her paws. She waited patiently, though her heart was racing. Suddenly, the moon shone down, making the water sparkle brilliantly. She took a deep breath and bent down to touch her nose to the cold water. Darkness took her and she felt a freezing chill run through her body. She opened her eyes and found herself in a large clearing. She recognized the silvery pelts of her warrior ancestors as they padded slowly toward her. One by one, the cats padded up to her and gave her a life each. Many were painful and she now stood panting heavily, her legs shaking with weakness. Finally, she looked up and saw the achingly familiar pelt of her love, Skystar. His eyes were warm as he padded up to her. "Hello, my love," he purred in his perfect voice. "Skystar," breathed Rainpelt, wanting to bury her face in his sweet-smelling fur and cry. "Don't worry, my dear. You are going to make a wonderful leader; and I will be with you always." He licked her forehead then met her eyes. "Are you ready?" Rainpelt smiled. "You're the first one to ask." She nodded. "I, Skystar, former leader of DuskClan, give you the gifts of courage, nobility, and love to lead your clan in the ways of StarClan." He touched his nose to hers and sent a sharp, but somewhat soothing sensation through her body. Once it was over he raised his head proudly. "Rainpelt, from this moment on you will be known as Rainstar, leader of DuskClan." He smiled and threw back his head and yowled, "RAINSTAR! RAINSTAR!" The other members of StarClan joined in and Rainstar felt a surge of pride flow through her. She woke up suddenly, her new lives running through her rapidly. She sighed and ran out of the cave back to her clan.
Very long, but I just needed to do it. So, we need members. I'm the leader, obviously, but who else would like to be in it?
I'll be the deputy. I'm a handsome, light gray tom with ice blue eyes. My name is Stonepelt.
Stonepelt walked out of the warrior's den and sleepily stretched his legs. He knew he had overslept, but taking over for Rainpelt had been more tiring than he thought. Suddenly, he caught sight of a cat darting into the leader's den. He climbed over the hill of rocks guarding the den, and went inside. It was only Rainpelt, or was it Rainstar now? "R-Rainstar?" he mewed. Rainstar's ears pricked, and she swiftly whirled around.
Rainstar smiled. "Stonepelt," she sighed. She leaped up to the Highbranch and yowled, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highbranch for a Clan meeting." She smiled as her Clanmates rushed up to hear what their new leader had to say. "Last night I went to Mooncave and received my nine lives. I hope that I can lead this clan half as well as Skystar did." She bowed her head solemnly. "It is now time that I appoint my deputy. I say this before StarClan so they may approve of my choice. Stonepelt with be the new deputy of DuskClan."
Shock flooded through Stonepelt's body. Deputy?! Why would Rainstar choose him? Shaking his thoughts away, Stonepelt proudly padded up to the Highbranch, as the clan cheered, and dipped thier heads in approval. "I-I am honored to be deputy," he stammered. The crowd fell silent. "I will serve my clan to the end. Thank you, Rainstar, for giving me this wonderful privilage." Stonepelt nervously shuffled his feet, and gave Rainstar a brief nod, to acknowledge that he was finished speaking.
Nightpaw cheered for their new leader and deputy. She hadn't morned the leader; Her father, but was glad her mother got picked to be his deputy, then take his place as leader. Nightpaw never was that close to her father. "Need anything done?" She padded over to Rainstar. She was rather bored.
OOC: Heh heh, that's okay Nightpaw! And sure, Twilightpaw, I'd love to have you as my apprentice!!!
IC: Rainstar sighed and leaped down from the Highbranch and padded into her new den. She had spent many nights in here, curled up against Skystar, and it now felt achingly lonely now that he was not there. She breathed in deeply, trying to soak up his sweet scent that still lingered in the cave. As she padded over to her nest, she saw that someone had brought her fresh moss. Probably Twilightpaw; she would have to thank (him/her?) later. She curled up into a tight ball and drifted into a restless sleep. Her dreams were filled with images of her leading her clan to their deaths, and she tossed and turned restlessly. Finally, the sweet scent of Skystar drifted around her and his velvety voice whispered words of comfort into her ear and she finally slept peacefully.
OOC: Sure Goldpaw!! And I was thinking maybe at nighttime because Rainstar probably rested on the way home and fell asleep so she got home at sundown. Just a suggestion.
Nightpaw looked up at the moon. It seemed to hold a secret beond her wildest imaginations. It smiled down, taunting her with it's knowlage. Yes... It knew her secret. She was sure of that. Nightpaw was unsure if she could bear it's terrible weight through her apprenticeship. Why hadn't she told anyone, Not even her mother? She looked over to the apprentices. They played in the moon's faint glow. They didn't know how much secrets hurt their holders. Nobody knew as she did.
Rainstar pried her eyes open and yawned. She reached her paws out in a blissful stretch. The moon shone brightly above, the soft light filtering in through the sky window in the ceiling of her den. She sighed. She could feel the warm gaze of Skystar beaming down at her, comforting her. She smiled and padded out of the den. Breathing in the cool scent of the forest, she saw Nightpaw sitting alone, staring at the moon. She padded over to her and rested her tail on her shoulder. "Nightpaw, is there something bothering you?"
bic: "What?" Nightpaw shook from the moon's prison. What would it be like if her mother knew? Would her father be ashamed up in Starclan? Oh, she wished she knew what to do. "No" Se desided to keep it to herself. She didn't want to tell the clan leader, Even though it was her mother...
name: Blacktip apperance: pretty calico she-cat with plack paws black tip tail and violet eye's
IC:blacktip padded out of her den and looked around to see nightpaw sitting by herself staring at the moon"whats up?"she asked.there was a long silence"you do know that you can tell me anything?"said blacktip"i am the medicine cat after all"
Wolfpaw stretched in the early moonlight. He couldn't get to asleep, no matter how willingly his eyes would shut. He had tried since sun-down to fall asleep, but to no avail. He looked around camp. Rainstar, his mentor, was talking to Nightpaw, her daughter, while Skystar, her mate, was watching both of them from StarClan. Blacktip, the medicine cat was padding into the clearing. He froze his thoughts there. It was getting to dizzying, so he decided to stop the dizzy-making stuff, and the dizzyness would go away. That was logical, right? Maybe not, but he was too sleepy to care.
Ooc: God, I'm talking like the Pretties in the Uglies series. xD
ooc: I've never read that series, but I saw the books. Are they good?
Stonepelt looked over at his clan. Deputy! He was deputy now! Well, when Rainstar had him takover for her, he had known that she might make him deputy. Wow, next step, and it was LEADER!!!!! Stonepelt turned toward the warrior's den, and walked in. He went to sleep.
Nightpaw looked nervously at her mother. Blacktip had only just become the medicine cat, and she was still uncomfortable around her. Her paws itched to run through the forest. She loved the cool night's wind on her face. Was it possible to slip out of camp unnoticed? Her ears pricked at the dark thought.
Stonepelt woke up to the tiny sound of rustling brambles outside. He walked out into the clearing, and found a small, feline shape, looking at the moon. He came closer, and saw that it was Nightpaw.
OOC: Don't worry Nightpaw, I was about to say the same thing!! XD
IC: Rainstar looked worriedly at her daughter. She sighed and flicked her tail at Nightpaw, beckoning her to follow. She padded through the forest at a swift pace, knowing how much her daughter loved running through the forest; also knowing she loved it just as much. She finally stopped under the old oak at the edge of DuskClan's territory. She sat down on a thick root and looked up at the moon, envisioning Skystar's eyes gazing down at her. She glanced down at her daughter. "Now, what's bothering you?"
"I... I... Have a secret." She admitted defeat. "I've always thought cats might not like me if they knew..." She sighed. "You know how I went missing as a kit? Right before my apprentice ceremony? I had claimed I lost my memory of the incident, but... Well, It was the twolegs. I had gone out to get a drink, and a twoleg found me. He put me in a box. It was dark, and cold. I remember waking up... And seeing..." Her eyes contracted at the memory. "There was this... thing. I fell back asleep quickly, but there was a thing, and it was small. It looked like a shedded claw, but silver. I... I think it's in my head. Whatever it is, It makes my head hurt when I try to recall memories. I'v been doing weird things sense... Not... Cat-like things... Like, I can do this thing, where i clear my mind, and i can suddenly hear every sound in the forest. I can hunt easly by doing it. I can find a cat's weak point, by taking a single look at it. I can run as fast as I want; There's no limit. I don't get tired either." Nightpaw searched her mom's eyes. "What do you think I should do? It must be the... Twoleg thing. What else could it be?"
Rainstar watched her daughter as she confessed her secret. When she was finished, she nodded subconsciously and looked back up at the moon. "It must be," she murmured. She had never heard of anything so bizarre, but that didn't matter. She turned back to Nightpaw. "That is nothing to be ashamed of. The twolegs did it to you. It's not like you went asking for it, right?"
OOC: Sorry, i feel really stupid asking this, but what exactly happened to her?? XD
ooc: The twolegs put an experimental chip in her. It's supposed to make humans stronger, more agile, ect. They always test things on cats first though, so here's Nightpaw! The twoleg expirement [sp?] cat! XD
I watch too much RvB, But it's an AI: Artifical Intellegence. It's made so that she's kind of a robotic cat. And everything has side effects!
Here's what I've revealed so far about the experimental AI;
GOOD THINGS
- Can clear mind; Thus enabling her to hear small creatures. - Can find a cat's weakest point. - Dosn't get tired easly.
BAD THINGS
- Hurts head to recall memories. - Dosn't get along well with others.
OOC: Oh, I get it now!! I sort of figured it was something like that, but I didn't want to say it and it be totally wrong!! XD Alright, so let's get back into the RP!!
Nightpaw turned and ran back to camp. She enjoyed the wind on her face as she entered the camp. She bumped into an apprentice. "Sorry Twilightpaw..." She said. She rarely spoke to others.
Rainstar smiled as she watched her daughter walk off with her apprentice. She looked back up at the moon. "Don't look so upset love," a sweet, familiar voice whispered. Rainstar jumped and looked over her shoulder. Her heart fluttered as she saw Skystar's gray-blue pelt glowing in the moonlight. Stars were embedded in his sleek fur; they shimmered brilliantly. "Skystar," she purred and pressed her face into his pelt. "I've missed you so much." "I have too, dear." He rasped his tongue over her ear tenderly. "I've been watching you. And Nightpaw. I had no idea..." His eyes were solemn. Rainstar nodded sadly. "What's going to happen to her? Will she be alright?" Skystar shook his head. "I don't know, love. I wish I did." Rainstar's eyes began to fill up with tears and she stifled a yawn. Skystar smiled. "You need to rest." "Don't leave me." "I won't. I shall spend the night with you in my--I mean, your den." He smiled wryly then draped his tail around her neck and led her into the warm cave. They curled up beside each other, and he groomed her fur until she fell into a deep sleep.
Nightpaw sat down near the middle of the den. It seemed that sense Skystar died... There wern't any kits born. She looked over to the cold, empty Nursery.
Nightpaw rested her head on her paws. Again, she wasn't tired. She didn't know what sleeping was like. Was it hard to fall asleep? Did it bring comfort? She spent her nights looking through a hole in the roof of the apprentice den. She had done that in the nursery too. The night sky always held a mystery to her. It had always known her secret, and had never told anyone. It was then, that Nightpaw decided to be friendly to Twilightpaw. She'd never had a friend, and wanted to know what it was like. She sat there the rest of the night, but instead of staring at the moon as she'd done every night sense birth, She stared at the tom.
In his sleep, Twilightpaw rolled onto his back, and his legs stretched to the sky. He dreamed he was running, and his legs twitched, sticking straight up.
